Damp conditions were forecast to persist along significant areas of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
The following day was predicted as the most rainy day, with persistent severe weather risk expected across various areas of both states.

Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
