Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Exclusive arms
- Survey Corps mount
Third Free Story Addition
This patch also introduces the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe debuts a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
